Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade admitted he was frustrated and disappointed with the late goal his side conceded in their 1-1 draw at Fleetwood Town.

The O's were on course for victory through Darius Henderson's header but an 83rd minute Stephen Dobbie effort denied them the win.

Slade said: "We're frustrated and disappointed with the goal. It's uncharacteristic of us in terms of the way we defend. We're normally more resolute than that and he's gone through a couple of tackles that he shouldn't have gone through.

"We should have stopped the goal. The boys, the staff and myself will be very disappointed with the one we've conceded. But we should have also broke their heart really by getting a second goal and putting the game to bed."

The Orient manager admitted the Cod Army started the stronger side but felt his team should have seen the game out having taken the lead.

Slade, whose side have won just one of their opening five League 1 games, said: "It's a difficult one to call because to be honest they were the better team for the first 20 minutes. I thought they created a couple of opportunities and it took us a little bit of time to settle down.

"But once we did settle down we seemed to get on top a little bit and were causing them problems. We've hit the woodwork and caused a couple of openings where we might have nicked one.

"It was becoming a solid away performance. We got the goal from a set play. That set us up nicely but we've not seen the game out."
