Tony Pulis would be a candidate as the next manager of West Ham United, should the club decide to part company with current boss Sam Allardyce, according to the Evening Standard.
Pulis left Crystal Palace on the eve of the new season and while Allardyce isn’t in any danger of being sacked at this stage, the Hammers are reportedly intrigued by the prospect of Pulis joining the club in the future.
West Ham began the new season with a 1-0 home defeat by Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, with Allardyce having been tasked with playing more attractive football this season.
After leaving Stoke City in 2005, Pulis kept Plymouth Argyle in the Championship before returning to the Britannia Stadium a year later, where he orchestrated their promotion to the Premier League in 2008.
An FA Cup final appearance followed in 2011, before Pulis joined Crystal Palace in November last year and helped them to a remarkable 11th placed finish.
