Leyton Orient will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Southend United when they host League One leaders Tranmere Rovers this weekend.

The O's suffered a 1-0 home loss to the Shrimpers in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday night but will turn their attention back to the league as they take on Ronnie Moore's side.

Orient were beaten 3-1 at Tranmere on the opening day of the season and Rovers have remained at or near the top of the table since August.

Reflecting on the importance of the game, Orient boss Russell Slade said: "That was my message to the players at the end of the game [Southend]. It’s still a very big week for us. We’ve got the league leaders coming here on Saturday.

“We’ve got to recover right and get ourselves sorted out and our mind set on that because if we win we’re ten points behind the leaders. That’s why it’s important we pick ourselves up and I’m sure we will.

“We will have players available, with Charlie MacDonald back after being cup-tied and we’ll welcome one or two more back before long as well.

“Nathan Clarke’s got a chance. He’s obviously champing at the bit and it’s just a little bit of match practice he’s lacking at the minute.”

Tranmere have won the last four meetings between the sides with Orient's last victory over them coming in 2010.
