West Ham United have confirmed first-team coach Wally Downes left the club yesterday.
The 51-year-old helped the team gain promotion from the Championship last season and the Hammers have consolidated in the Premier League so far this year.
Sam Allardyce has taken the decision to allow Downes to leave after inheriting the coach, who had been at the club for two years after joining as a defensive coach in November 2010.
