John Oster and Paul Ifill are the biggest names on a list of nine players released by Crystal Palace today - while Shefki Kuqi and Rhoys Wiggins are among six offered new deals.

Oster's Palace career comes to an end after just one season having turned down an 18 month deal in January, while Ifill, the club's second highest scorer this season, has paid the price for not signing a new one year contract he was offered at the turn of the year.

First team players Carl Fletcher, Jamie Scowcroft and Scott Flinders were already known to be leaving and they have been joined on the Eagles scrapheap by youngsters Ryan Carolan, James Dayton, Jamie Smith and David Wilkinson.

Second year scholars Graeme Edwards and Kieron Thorp meanwhile will not be offered professional deals and have also been released.

Despite being offered new contracts Kuqi and Wiggins could still leave this summer, with the Finn understood to have been offered a significant pay cut while Wiggins has spoken about his need to play first team football having only made one appearance for Palace.

Youngsters Alesanne N'Diaye, Michael Abnett, Nathaniel Pinney and Hakeem Adelakun have also been offered their first professional deals having impressed in the reserves.
