Jimmy Kebe reveals the reasons behind his move to the Eagles family nest
Mali international Kebe had spent five seasons at Reading before putting pen to paper on a three-year deal for the Eagles last month.
The speedy 29-year-old winger is recovering from a groin injury and is yet to make a first team appearance, although he insists he is not far away.
However, despite the frustration of not yet running out in front of the Palace faithful, Kebe loves every other aspect of being with the Premier League new boys.
“When I heard Crystal Palace were interested in me, I jumped at the opportunity to help them stay in the Premier League,” he said.
“But nothing could prepare me for just how great the club is – and I don’t just mean in footballing terms.
“When I arrived at the training ground, it was like one big family, and everyone looked out for everyone one else.
“There is no me, me, me here. When the manager talks to us, it is not as individuals, rather as a team and that is a great thing for a team when they are up against a challenge like staying in the Premier League.”
He added: “It is that challenge, the great family atmosphere and what I already know of the great Palace support that convinced me this was the right move.
“I cannot wait to get on the pitch and help Palace achieve their dreams.”
