Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway called the 2-2 Championship draw at Birmingham City his team's "best away performance so far".

Glenn Murray bagged two more goals in his prolific season to have Palace 2-0 ahead with 25 minutes left on the clock.

However, goals from Nikola Zigic and Papa Boupa Diop salvaged a point for the Midlanders and left Holloway ruing an Andre Moritz, despite being pleased overall.

"I thought Bolasie was sensational and Glenn Murray's movement in the box is probably the best I've seen for years but they're all disappointed as they wanted the win so bad," he said.

"Sometimes it's my job to remain calm and tell them how well I think they're doing and the performance away from home was the best I've seen since I've been here."

He added: "But the defining moment for me occurred when we had a breakaway before scoring the second goal. (Andre) Moritz hardly ever misses in situations like that but he went over.

"I'm delighted this group is looks as good as they are and I can't wait for January to try and help them by adding one or two players to make us even more threatening."
