Medals aplenty for Amersham SC

Amersham Swimming Club
AMERSHAM Swimming Club are still riding the crest of a wave after adding another chapter to their fine summer at the Bracknell and Wokingham Summer Meet.
They scooped 38 golds, 16 silvers and 20 bronze medals between them with Hugo Bellamy among the top performers in the boys events.
The 13-year-old won golds in the 200m medley, 50m and 100m backstroke plus the 100m freestyle.
Joshua Penning-Lambert, 14, was also a multiple winner with three golds in the 50m and 200m backstroke and the 50m butterfly.
He also added silver in the 200m freestyle and bronzes in the 200 medly, 50m freestyle and 100m backstroke.
Ten-year-old Alec Shackleton won a brace of golds in the 200m and 50m breaststroke while Jamie Irwin, 11, added a gold in the 100m medley, silver in the 50m backstroke and bronzes in the 100m and 200m backstroke.
Ellis Morgan, Tim Everett and George Mercer were also among the medal winners in the boys races.
The girls meanwhile, were almost twice as successful and Samantha Farnfield led the way with six golds.
The 12-year-old won the 100m and 200m medley, the 100m freestyle, the 100m and 200m backstroke and the 200m butterfly.
She added two silvers for good measure, while 11-year-old Georgina Bradley wasn’t far behind with five golds and a silver.
Ceara Barber, ten, added four more golds, a silver and three bronzes while Polly McGrath, 13, matched her gold tally.
Other multiple winners were Sophie Bradley with three golds and Amy Bloomfield-Proud and Korrie Ford, who won two each.
Lily Pearson, Sophie Chesterman, Bethany Emerson and Amy Hortop also won medals.
