PAUL Kuiken has been appointed as Marlow RFC’s youngest ever chairman.

The 37-year-old who joined the club in 2000 has been promoted from his role as director of communications and honorary secretary.

He said: “It is a tremendous honour and a privilege to be elected to this position. We have some real opportunities and challenges ahead, but the club and grounds are second to none and we have a huge opportunity to develop ourselves further.”

Outgoing chairman Gwyn Stone had taken over as president following Peter Bradley’s retirement.

In other changes, Laurent Morlet has been named director of rugby and Ewan Jones will take the captain’s armband for the first team next season.
