Julian Speroni will wait on the outcome of CPFC 2010's takeover of Crystal Palace before making a decision on his future.

The goalkeeper, who was named player of the year for a record third season running on Saturday, has already been linked with Queens Park Rangers and Middlesbrough this summer and could be sold to help fund player wages.

Although he says he would like to say at Palace for the rest of his life, he admits he might have to move on to further his career but will wait for news on the takeover before choosing where he will play next season.

"I'm waiting for next week to see if we have any news on the future owners of the club," said the 30-year-old, who flew back to Argentina yesterday to spend six weeks with his family.

"I'm looking forward to that and seeing where we are and what to do in the near future.

"I hear all the rumours about me but I am just waiting, I don't have anything else.

"I am still a Palace player and I am happy with that, I just have to wait and see.

"I have said many times before I would play here all my life if I could.

"I am comfortable and I am happy and my relationship with the fans is fantastic.

"If I could play here all my life, then why not?

"A footballer's career is a short career though and sometimes you have to do what's best for your family and yourself.

"A lot of things are going on at the moment though so we will see what happens."

Speroni beat top scorer Darren Ambrose to player of the year at Saturday's award ceremony, equalling Jim Cannon as the only player to win it three times, although he is the first to win three in a row.

"It was a special night and the fans were unbelievable with their support," he said.

"The loved they showed me was impressive and my team-mates as well, they were outstanding with me.

"I can't actually remember what happened when I got the award, lots of things were going through my head at that moment.

"Of course it is special to players, it is an award from the fans and the people that really love this club.

"To have that recognition from them is really special, you feel loved and you feel wanted."
