MATT Flint is two games away from joining an elite group who have won the Reading Senior Cup as player and manager.
Flint’s Flackwell Heath side booked their spot in the semi-finals with a 3-1 win at Highmoor Ibis on Saturday and will now face Wokingham & Emmbrook for a place at the Madejski Stadium.
Flint said: “I played four times in the final for Marlow United and won the last of them, but this would be my first time as a manager and I think we’ve got a great chance.”
Wokingham play in the division below Flackwell and Flint was on their books as a player as recently as five season ago.
He said: “It will be nice to go back and see a few familiar faces, but hopefully we’ll sneak through.
“We want to be in the final and it would be nice to end the season on a high.”
