MARLOW RFC have not given up the chase for second place in South West 1 East despite falling three points behind Wycombe on Saturday.
They drew 15-15 at Oakmeadians to make it two wins in their last games, but director of rugby Chris Sheasby, right, insists they still have everything to play for.
He said: “Bookmakers would probably make Wycombe favourites, but I’d still give us a good chance.
“This story isn’t written yet.
“Drawing at Oakmeadians doesn’t help, but at least we came away with something.
“We’re still in control of our last six games and our run-in is easier than Wycombe’s.”
Miles Noble, Hugo Jafari and Gareth Miller all crossed for Wycombe but Sheasby believes they should have had more points after three times driving Oakmeadians back to their line, only to be halted by the referee’s whistle.
Sheasby said: “We’re frustrated with the draw because I think we deserved to win. We out-scored them three tries to two and had two other tries disallowed so I came away with a bad taste in my mouth.”
