ROWING: Marlow juniors bounce back

Marlow Juniors bounced back from defeat in the opening round the junior novice fours at the Bedford Regatta by storming to victory in the plate competition for first round losers.
The crew, which was made up of Royal Grammar School boys Ed Griffith, Tom Rendell, Dan Wicks and Tom Picton from Dr Challenors and was coxed by Mike Mottram, beat Harrow School in the final.
The junior girls also had a good day. In the junior 14 quad sculls they were just pipped to the title by St Edwards School with their conquerors just a few strokes ahead.
