Watford have re-signed Academy keeper Jonathan North following Stuart Searle’s decision to have his contract ended by mutual consent.
Former Chelsea coach and Reserve team shotstopper Searle has gone in search of first team football elsewhere after failing to make an appearance for Watford since joining in January.
North was released by Watford this summer following his scholarship but he has now been handed a professional contract.
Hornets' boss Malky Mackay said: “I am delighted for the boy as he is an incredible worker and a great professional. He has used Richard Lee as a role model and because of that he has a great attitude for the job.
“He has been here since he was eight-years-old and it is worthy recognition for him personally that he is back and it is on merit alone.”

watford have a policy that a keeper must be 6ft3 plus....they keep richard lee on who is 6ft1 and now take back north who is 5ft11.....have thet finallt relized that a good keeper is a good keeper whatever his height or just no money so stick with what thet can ?? goood luck jonathen if they have changed their minds otherwise your wasting your time here as a few people in the academy set up are very self centred stupid idiots.
