Following a failed attempt to sign former Ajax man and Manchester United midfielder Donny Van De Beek on a six month loan and with the Eagles set to complete the permanent transfer of the in form French frontman Jean Philipe-Mateta from Mainz, the South London club have sought to boulster their attacking options through the potential signing of Derby County centre-forward Luke Plange.

The nineteen year old has impressed for the Derby first team this year, netting three times in eight appearances for the Rams this season, including scoring in a recent thrilling Derby comeback against Birmingham city. Following his transfer from Arsenal's academy in July of 2021, Plange has continually impressed at a youth level, scoring ten times in appearances for both Derby under 18s and under 23s, racking up four assists in the process.

It looks likely that should Palace sign the youngster for a reported one million pounds, he will most likely be loaned back to the Derbyshire club for the remainder of the season, assiting them in their fight for survival following their point deduction earlier this season. Hopefully Plange's return to london football will be an emphatic one, with this exciting forward showing plenty of potential in the coming years.
