West Ham youngster Marcus Browne has joined League One side Oxford United on loan.
The young midfielder, who can also play up front, has been with the Hammers since the age of eight and made his first team debut for the club against Astra Giurgiu in the Europa League in August 2016.
Browne enjoyed an impressive campaign with the Irons’ under-23s last season, where he captained the side and scored six goals in 13 appearances, racking up a further two assists.
This will be the 20-year-old’s second loan spell after the midfielder spent time with Wigan Athletic during the 2016/17 campaign.
Oxford boss Karl Robinson told the club’s website: “He has so much to offer. He is technically very good, he sees a pass and will score goals so he is very talented and we know there were a lot of clubs chasing him.
“He came along and we showed him the stadium, the pitch, the training ground and talked to him about the way we play and what our aims are for the season and I am absolutely thrilled that he chose to come here for the next part of what I am sure is going to be a fantastic career.
“I think our recruitment has been good all summer and hopefully we’re not finished yet.”
