Everton are set to reignite their interest in Crystal Palace star Patrick van Aanholt.
The Dutch defender was linked with a move to Goodison Park in January when his former Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce was in charge.
But nothing materialised and the left-back went on to help Palace avoid relegation by scoring five goals.
The Daily Mail reports Everton, who appointed Marco Silva as their new manager last week, see van Aanholt as a long-term successor to Leighton Baines.

Baines, 33, has starred for Everton for the past 11 years.
But van Aanholt, who signed for Palace in a £12m deal in January 2017, could provide the ageing full-back with much-needed competition.
Palace would demand a fee in the region of £20m for their star defender.
