Tariqe Fosu has been ruled out for the remainder of the regular season.

The Charlton winger injured his hamstring in the 1-0 win over Portsmouth last Saturday, and will not be fit for another two weeks.

But if the Addicks, who are in fifth place with two games to go, secure a top-six finish, Fosu is likely to return for the play-off semi-finals.

To add to Charlton’s injury woes, Arsenal loanee Stephy Mavididi is a doubt with a hamstring injury for Saturday’s clash with Blackburn.

Valley caretaker boss Lee Bowyer told News Shopper: “We’ve obviously lost Tariqe. Lewis Page is going to be okay.

“Stephy has got to have more tests. He’s not trained with us all week. He’s still a doubt for Blackburn, we won’t know until later on in the week.

“Jason Pearce is going to train today for the first time this week. We have a lot of tired players. Those Saturday-Tuesday games were really tough on us because of the effort they had to put in.

“But they've had a full week, and I’ve given them an extra day off to recover, so we’re all ready for Saturday.

“We might see Tariqe back for the play-offs at some stage. I don’t know with Stephy, though. We thought he was going to recover this week.

“He struggled after Shrewsbury, so we left him at home against Portsmouth and let him rest to recover and get himself right. But it’s not been that simple from what I hear.

“He’s going to have more tests to see if he can maybe feature at some point. I’m not really hearing good news at the moment. We’ll see how he does today.”
