Millwall forward Tim Cahill has been banned for three matches after accepting a charge of violent conduct.
The 38-year-old was charged by the Football Association retrospectively after the Australian appeared to elbow Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks during his side's 3-0 defeat last Friday.
Cahill will miss the last two games of the Championship season as Millwall look to secure a play-off place.
In a tweet, Cahill said: “I’ve accepted a 3 game ban by The FA and I’ll always accept accountability for my actions on and off the football pitch while representing @MillwallFC.
“My aim now is to contribute in training and to help keep my team-mates focused on trying to secure a play-off place.”
An FA statement read: “Tim Cahill will miss Millwall's next three matches after he admitted a charge of violent conduct.
“The incident, which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video, occurred in the 85th minute of Friday's game against Fulham.”
