Justin Edinburgh has confirmed that he is looking to bolster his attack by adding two new strikers to the squad this summer, with Dan Holman’s future currently uncertain.

Holman, who joined the club on loan from Cheltenham Town in January, has scored just once during his time with Leyton Orient and is currently side-lined due to a broken metatarsal in his foot which looks set to keep him out for the rest of the season.

With Matt Harrold also side-lined, Josh Koroma has been deployed as a makeshift striker and has impressed in recent weeks, notching against both Barrow and Macclesfield Town, while also forging a good partnership with Macauley Bonne up top.

But despite Bonne being the club’s top scorer with 24 goals this campaign, goal-scoring has been a problem for the O’s, with fellow strikers Harrold, Holman and David Mooney notching just 12 times between them this season.

That problem has not gone unnoticed by Edinburgh either, who confirmed after Saturday’s win over Wrexham that he wants to bring in two new faces up front this summer.

He said: “Dan’s got a slight break in one of his metatarsal’s which is why he has been missing.

"Dan’s on our radar. When we knew we were safe, we started getting our recruitment in place for next year and it’s started already. I think we need to bring two strikers to the club and that’s what we’re going to try and do.”
