Stephy Mavididi could be fit in four weeks’ time to aid Charlton’s promotion push.

The Arsenal loanee, who was present for the Addicks’ 2-1 win over MK Dons, returned to his parent club for treatment on his hamstring injury.

And he was initially ruled out for eight weeks, however, he handed Karl Robinson a massive injury boost this afternoon.

The Addicks boss said: “Stephy Mavididi was here today in the crowd behind me. You should have seen his little smug face with 10 minutes to go.

“That shows you a loan player, who comes away from home, to support his team.

“He gave me some good news and said ‘gaffer, it [my injury] is going really well’.

“If we can get Stephy Mavididi back in four or five weeks that’s better than the eight weeks that we first thought.”
