Crystal Palace are eyeing a sensational move for Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro.

The France international, 30, has been pushed down the pecking order following the arrival of Diego Costa.

And it has alerted Palace, Swansea and Southampton, clubs that are desperately in need of goals.

Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is running out of patience with Christian Benteke, who has only netted once this season.

Meanwhile, Wilfried Bony and Shane Long are not firing for Swansea and Southampton, respectively.

And Gameiro, who scored 16 goals for Atletico last term, could be the answer to their scoring woes.

The former Paris Saint-Germain hitman has been prolific during his successful spells in Spain and France.

He has won the Europa League three times and has a Ligue 1 winners’ medal.

The Daily Mail reports that Gameiro could cost in excess of £25m.
