Karl Robinson says Charlton are ‘really worried’ about Billy Clarke’s injury.
The Irish attacker was forced off in the Addicks’ 2-0 defeat to Blackburn with a knee problem.
Valley boss Robinson said: “Billy’s injury doesn't look good at all. We’re really worried about that. The medical team are worried about it.
“We’re going to have a scan in the next 48 hours. It’s a big disappointment.”
Clarke will join Patrick Bauer, Tariqe Fosu, Ricky Holmes and Ahmed Kashi on the sidelines as Charlton’s injury problems mount.
Robinson added: “All of them are freak injuries. and ones you can't put your fingers on. It’s not through training or not being fit.
“With those five being out, we still looked like a good team against a very good Blackburn Rovers side.
“We knew Ricky wouldn't be available for this game but I wasn't going to say that publicly.
“We’re hoping to have Kashi back for the Southend game, Tariqe won’t be far behind that. Ricky might be back for next week and Patrick is only two weeks away so they're all getting closer.”
