Millwall defender Sid Nelson has joined Yeovil on loan until January 1.

Nelson, 21, is behind Jake Cooper, Shaun Hutchinson and Byron Webster in the pecking order at the Den.

The young centre-back spent the second half of last season with Newport County, helping the Welsh club secure their Football League status.

He will try to improve a Yeovil defence who have leaked 14 goals in their opening three games in League Two.

Nelson made his Millwall debut in December 2014 and captained the side under former boss Ian Holloway.

But he has struggled for game-time under Neil Harris, making just 23 appearances in the past two seasons.
