Ryan Tunnicliffe is set to miss Millwall’s clash with Bristol City on Saturday.

Tunnicliffe, who joined the Lions on a free transfer last month, is yet to play for the club as he builds up his fitness.

The midfielder did not have a pre-season following his release from Fulham in May.

And Millwall boss Neil Harris does not expect Tunnicliffe to be in the squad for their trip to Bristol.

He told News Shopper: “He’s just getting match fit. He played 70 minutes for the Under-23s on Monday. He’s getting there.

“We’ll certainly look to welcome him into the group [first-team] in the next seven to 10 days.”

When asked if Tunnicliffe would be ready for Saturday, Harris added: “I wouldn't have thought so, at the moment.”

Millwall go to Ashton Gate looking for their first league win of the season.

They have suffered two narrow defeats to Nottingham Forest and Ipswich, and drawn with Bolton.
