Charlton’s run of four successive pre-season wins came to an abrupt end after a 2-0 home defeat to Norwich.

Goals from Yanic Wildschut and Steven Naismith were enough to see off Karl Robinson’s men.

The Addicks played some good football, but failed to show any kind of cutting edge.

Here is how News Shopper rated Charlton’s players…

Dillon Philips - 6 - Didn’t have too much to do and made saves you’d expect a goalkeeper to make.

Anfernee Dijksteel - 8 - Playing out of position, the youngster handled Josh Murphy very well, and won his individual battles. Charlton’s man of the match.

Naby Sarr - 8 - Charlton’s most improved player in pre-season. Whatever Robinson is feeding Sarr, it’s working. He could be very useful defensive cover for the League One season.

Patrick Bauer - 6 - Troubled by Cameron Jerome’s pace, but dominated the ball in the air. A huge threat from set pieces.

Aaron Barnes - 4 - Terrorised by Wildschut, and never looked comfortable against the Dutchman. Norwich targeted the full-back and it worked. Cheaply lost the ball for the opening goal.

Jake Forster-Caskey - 6 - Seems to play better with Ahmed Kashi alongside him. Subbed off early in the second-half.

Andrew Crofts - 5 - Too slow and Norwich’s attacking players passed him by too many times. A day to forget for the experienced midfielder.

Ricky Holmes - 7 - Looked dangerous throughout the game, justifying why Championship new boys Sheffield United wanted to sign him. Should’ve been awarded a first-half penalty after Norwich goalkeeper Michael McGovern wiped him out.

Billy Clarke - 5 - Another quiet game for the former Bradford man in the number 10 role. His starting place would be under serious threat if Mark Marshall was fit.

Tariqe Fosu - 7 - Operating on the left wing, Fosu looked bright and dangerous. He is going to be an exciting player for the Addicks.

Josh Magennis - 6 - Worked hard and always tried to run in behind, but didn't link up well with Clarke.
