Goals from Jake Forster-Caskey and Reeco Hackett-Fairchild were enough to see off a lively Dover side in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday evening.

Charlton had to ride their luck at times, especially in the opening stages of the second-half, but it was a good test for Karl Robinson’s men.

It was the Addicks’ sixth game in eight days as they continue to build their fitness towards the League One season.

Here’s how News Shopper rated Charlton’s players...

Dillon Phillips - 7 - Commanded his area very well and made a decent save in the first-half. Too good to be a number two this season.

Aaron Barnes - 7 - Another impressive showing from the young full-back, who looked comfortable on either flank. Made an outstanding last-ditch block to prevent Dover from scoring in the 35th-minute.

Ezri Konsa - 7 - Used the ball well and never looked troubled.

Naby Sarr - 8 - His distribution was terrific - pulled off a few 50-yard passes that Steven Gerrard would be proud of. Likely to leave the Addicks this summer, but did well tonight. Man of the match.

Johnnie Jackson - 5 - With no fit senior left-backs at the club, Jackson has had to fill in. He was forced off early on with what looked like a rib injury.

Andrew Crofts - 6 - A couple of misplaced passes, but broke up many Dover attacks.

Jake Forster-Caskey - 7 - Displayed loads of energy throughout the game. It’s clear to see why he’s a firm Karl Robinson favourite. In the right place at the right time to net his goal.

Mark Marshall - 6 - Looked menacing at times, but Charlton’s summer signing had a quiet game by his standards.

Billy Clarke - 5 - Struggled to get on the ball, and when he did, he wasted it. Took a couple of nasty knocks, though.

Karlan Ahearne-Grant - 6 - Showed moments of quality but went missing too often. Improved when moved into the number 10 role.

Josh Magennis - 6 - Worked hard like he always does and crossed well for Forster-Caskey’s goal.
