Jordan Archer has his sights set on the Premier League following Millwall’s promotion to the Championship.

Archer, 24, came through Tottenham’s academy, but never played for the north London club.

He has found his feet at Millwall – and still harbours hopes of playing in England’s top tier.

Archer said: “I’ve not played in the Championship before, but I’m looking forward to it.

“I want to play at the very top so the Championship is the next step for me and I’m going to enjoy it.

“We’ve got a phenomenal spirit in the squad here and we’re going to enjoy promotion.

“And over the summer, I’m sure we’ll evaluate what we have to do to stay up.”

Archer, who joined the Lions in 2015, has impressed between the sticks since dislodging Den stalwart David Forde.

Steve Morison will get the plaudits for netting the winning goal in Millwall’s play-off final win over Bradford on Saturday.

But Archer’s superb 13th-minute save to deny Billy Clarke was a pivotal moment in the game.

The former Scotland Under-21 international added: “I was waiting for him to take a heavy touch and he took one and I just came out and spread myself. Thankfully, I got a fingertip to it.

“The boys put their bodies on the line at the end and showed a lot of determination to see the job out.”
