Crystal Palace will need to shell out £30m to sign Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho, according to reports.

Sakho, 27, has starred for the Eagles since joining on-loan in January.

He was influential in Palace’s turnaround in form, helping them keep four clean sheets in his eight games.

The France international suffered knee ligament damage against Tottenham last month, which ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

But it has not deterred Palace boss Sam Allardyce from wanting to sign Sakho on a permanent deal.

The Guardian says Liverpool have slapped a £30m price tag on the former Paris Saint-Germain defender, who is not in Jurgen Klopp's first-team plans.

The Eagles splashed the cash on Christian Benteke last year, paying the Reds £30m to bring the Belgian forward to Selhurst Park, and they could do the same with Sakho this summer.
