Images have been released of 18 people who are wanted in connection with violence and disorder at the Millwall versus Leicester City FA Cup match.
Millwall fans invaded the pitch following their 1-0 victory over Leicester on Saturday, February 18 leading to violence between both sets of fans, and seats and bottles were thrown.
Detective Chief Inspector John Oldham from Specialist Crime and Operations Public Order Branch said: “This was despicable behaviour and has absolutely no place at a football match. It was pure luck that no-one was badly hurt.
“Supporters should be in no doubt that anyone involved in or responsible for the disorder will be dealt with robustly and once identified, we will seek to arrest them and put them before the courts.
"There is no place for this kind of behaviour and I would urge anyone who recognises who any of these people are to get in touch with us.”
Two men who were arrested last night on suspicion of football related offences remain in custody.
Image numbers between 239710 – 239722 inclusive are believed to be Millwall fans. Image numbers 239726-239733 inclusive are believed to be Leicester City fans.
Anyone who recognises any of the individuals in the images should contact the investigation team on 020 8246 9386 quoting the image reference number, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
