Slaven Bilic has dismissed the rumour that West Ham United are keen for Juventus full-back Patrice Evra.
The East London and West Essex Guardian series reported earlier today the former Manchester United defender was linked with a return to the Premier League, in particular, West Ham.
The 35-year-old has had limited playing time and only has six months left on his contract.
Bilic spoke at the press conference ahead of Saturday's match against Leicester City and said: "We are the club linked with most players in Europe.
"But 95 per cent of that is not true. Definitely not true with Evra. Okay, he's a great player, but in that position we are well covered."
But Bilic also addressed rumours suggesting the east London club are interested in Sunderland striker Jermaine Defoe.
"He's a very good player, with the way he's scoring goals for Sunderland. He;s always been spot on, top."
"I have a few midfielders who tell me he's the best from the strikers they've played with. But he's a Sunderland player.
"We want players who have experience of the Premier League. We're not going to panic but we'll try to get a couple of players in."
West Ham will face the Foxes on Saturday, kicking off at 3pm at the King Power Stadium.
