Leyton Orient WFC are hosting a fan day this Sunday for their final women’s FA Cup qualifier against Cambridge City Ladies.

It is their fourth match before being the first round proper and the players have baked lots of baked treats for fans to enjoy during the game.

Winger Sophie Le Marchand, Orient’s top goal scorer on 27 for the season, said their main aim is to fill the stand by the last game of the season.

She added: “The run we’ve been on hasn’t just been about winning, it’s been about showcasing some seriously good football.

“We want to produce performances that people think, wow, these girls can really play, and I’ll come and watch again.”

Four of the overall top six goal scorers in the South East Regional Women’s League Premier are Orient players and the girls have gone on an unbeaten record since February of this year.

Along with Le Marchland, Hayley Barton, Belen Ripoli Douton, and Jasmine Campbell complete the line-up.

Last Sunday, they defeated Fulham FC Foundation Ladies 12-0 in the LSE Women’s League Cup with Le Marchland scoring four.

The match will kick off at 1pm at the Mile End Stadium and the entry is free.
