Leyton Orient will look to keep a 20-year winning streak over Portsmouth as they welcome Pompey to Brisbane Road tomorrow.

In the six games they have played since 1996, The Os have won each time with their last loss coming on August, 20 1996 where they lost 2-0 loss in the League cup.

The Os had a good start to the season in League Two, however, they have only managed to gain two points from five as they had a three game losing streak.

This resulted in Andy Hessenthaler being sacked from E10 as new boss Alberto Cavasin was appointed last week.

The Italian spoke about the match on Saturday after Orient's 1-0 loss to Southend on Tuesday night in the Checkatrade.

He said: "I am very excited, I look forward to the game and for everything here.

“I was looking for the excitement of being a manager. So I am living this experience like it was my first one when I was 30-years-old.

“I trained in Italy for more than 20 years and I lost my motivation as I did everything there. Here everything is new, everything is important, everything is exciting.

“I have lots of energy. Everything is a challenge as I do not know the language and I will start learning English intensively.”

Assistant manager Andy Edwards took the reigns for two matches as he lost 2-0 to Plymouth after being left with 9 men and was also in the dugout for the 0-0 draw away to Barnet at the Hive.

Pompey sit sixth in the table as Orient have now dropped to 17th and the home side will look to get their first three points since they beat Morecambe 2-1 at the beginning of September.

The 45-year-old said: “We are desperate for three points and we are looking toward the Portsmouth game.

“They are a big club with a big support and a big fan base is coming down, it will be a good atmosphere down at our place and one I am sure the players relish.”
