Leyton Orient drew 0-0 against Barnet at The Hive Stadium in League Two as the game seemed to filter out after the 10 minute mark.

Orient started off the brighter of the two sides as Barnet were second best but failed to capitalise on chances from Harry Cornick and Jay Simpson.

Luke Gambin was the first Bees player to have a chance but Alex Cisak became the Os hero of the game as he made crucial saves throughout.

It was the Sixth in 10 for Barnet and Orient will hope to take their clean sheet onto next week when they face Portsmouth.

The first chance of the afternoon fell to Orient’s Callum Kennedy but is was easily held by Josh Vickers.

And the Os continued to press forward as Cornick and Liam Kelly both had a chance on goal but the former was tipped over for a corner with the latter out for a goal kick.

Cornick had another chance in the 12th minute and they got the second corner after Mauro Vilhete headed behind before the corner came to nothing.

Gambin had the first chance for the Bees three minutes later as he shot low but Cisak made the save before the ball went out for a goal kick as the referee waves away a penalty appeal from Shaun Batt.

However, there was a break in play as Batt received treatment on the pitch before he got back on his feet as play resumed and he was soon replaced by Curtis Weston.

Kelly hoped he could make it 1-0 for his side in the 32nd minute as he lashed a shot from outside the box which was deflected out for a corner.

Vickers denied Simpson six minutes before the break as made himself big to Simpson’s low shot.

And there was a let off for the O’s as Bira Dembele thought he got the breakthrough as he took inspiration from Maradona and hand balled it into the net before referee Darren Handley put him in his book with a yellow.

The Bees made a half time substitution as Harry Taylor came off for Alex Nicholls and it showed in the first few minutes of the second as John Akinde had a go which was cleared by the O’s defence.

Tom Parkes was booked for a foul on Akinde in the 53rd minute and Barnet received a free-kick but it was cleared. After Kelly gave away a free-kick for hand ball, Sam Togwell volleyed the ball back into the box after it was cleared but Akinde failed to get a connection with the ball and Cisak collected.

Togwell tried to break the deadlock in the 66th minute but Cisak got down well and made a great save to keep it 0-0.

Cisak was the hero once again as he stopped Dembele going through on goal and it was able to get the resulting goal kick.

Ollie Palmer could have opened the scoring after he took a chance from the edge of the box but his shot was held by Vickers.
