Middlesbrough, West Brom and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote, reports say.
The Ivory Coast international, who signed for Newcastle in the summer of 2010 from Dutch side FC Twente, is widely expected to leave St James’ Park this summer.
The 29-year-old is one of several first-team players being linked with a departure after Newcastle suffered relegation from the Premier League.
According to the Daily Mail, Palace, West Brom and Premier League new boys Middlesbrough are interested in securing Tiote’s services.
It is claimed the midfielder was on the verge of completing a move to China earlier this year and also attracted attention from European clubs.
While he remained at the club over the winter, he is believed to be set to leave Newcastle, who hope to gain around £4m for his signature.
Tiote has played over 150 games for Newcastle and represented his country 53 times.
