Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has criticised the consistency of the Premier League big boys, but says he is impressed by Crystal Palace’s attacking style of play.

In one of the most remarkable starts to a season, reigning champions Chelsea have dropped to 14th in the league – just three points above the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, underdogs Leicester have established as title contenders and currently trail league leaders Arsenal by one point.

The Eagles have made a similarly impressive start to the campaign and a six-match unbeaten run has seen Alan Pardew’s side climb to fifth – ahead of the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.

Henry, Arsenal’s all-time leading scorer with 228 goals in all competitions, insists he enjoys watching the performances of Leicester and Palace.

“It’s a lack of consistency from the big guns,” the former French striker told Sky Sports News HQ.

“When I see Leicester in there, Palace and the likes of West Ham, I’m not having a go at those teams being there – I think it’s great.

“We have to watch every single game because we don’t know what is going to happen.

“I know if I watch Leicester I am going to be entertained. Palace away from home will entertain me.

“Watford with Troy Deeney and Ighalo, I know they will entertain but I don’t know what I’m going to get from Arsenal sometimes and City and United. Liverpool are the same.

“The lack of consistency just allowed those teams to get in and the door is open.”
