Leyton Orient's top scorer Jay Simpson is a doubt for tomorrow's home game with AFC Wimbledon.

The in-form O's finisher went off with an ankle injury during the first half of Tuesday's draw at Plymouth and the hosts will desperately hope he is fit to play this weekend.

Speaking after the Plymouth match, head coach Ian Hendon said: "We'll have to see how he is tomorrow but I think it's a little bit of a twist more than anything else.

"It was the tackle and I think he went over on it [ankle] as he got hit so we'll have to assess him but will have more of an idea tomorrow [Wednesday].”

Orient could also be again without captain Mathieu Baudry after the defender missed the midweek game with a hip injury.

The draw moved the O’s up one place to sixth in the League Two table ahead of tomorrow's first meeting with AFC Wimbledon.

The Dons are 11th and suffered a surprise home defeat to struggling Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday.

The O’s boss said: "We always try to look upwards but we get back at home on Saturday and it's important we get a win against Wimbledon.

“That's the next game and that's what we focus on now. Tonight's [Plymouth] gone. It was a good performance but that's it now and it's all about Wimbledon on Saturday.”
