Leyton Orient have signed Millwall striker John Marquis on a 93-day loan.

The O's have been looking for an experienced forward after losing Paul McCallum for six months with a cruciate ligament injury.

Marquis, 23, has made six appearances this season for the Lions and can make his debut for Orient at Crawley Town tomorrow.

Head coach Ian Hendon told the club website: "It's no secret that we have wanted to add a striker to the squad following the loss of Paul McCallum to injury and John fits the bill superbly.

"He has played a number of games at this level and has worked with my assistant Andy Hessenthaler at Gillingham last season, so we know what he is capable of and he is a welcome addition to the squad."

Marquis agreed a new one-year deal with Millwall in the summer, having scored eight goals in 13 games while on loan with League One side Gillingham at the end of last season.
