New arrival Adam Chicksen believes Leyton Orient have become more professional after joining the club for a second time.

The Brighton defender returned to the O's at the end of last week after signing on loan for a month. Chicksen spent a short time at Brisbane Road in 2012 when he made three appearances and jumped at the chance to come back to the club.

Chicksen said: "I didn't have to think about it at all. Last time I came I absolutely loved it. I spoke to all my family and friends and got their advice and for me it was a no brainer. I'm going to come here and enjoy it and play the football I like to play so the move here was obvious."

He added: "I knew a few before I came so when you go to a club you want to see some familiar faces. It makes you bed in that much quicker so to see the likes of Coxy and Ada Martin [kit man] gets you quickly embedded and it's just like coming back home again.

"As I said it's changed. I think it's got more professional and they're trying to implement even more higher standards than when I was last here. To come here and see familiar faces is great."

Chicksen made his second debut for the O's in Saturday's 3-1 win over Notts County and the left-back is confident the club can challenge for promotion this season.

The defender said: "I wouldn't have come here unless I thought they could go all the way. The players here are quality so I wouldn't have come unless I thought we could push for promotion."
