Charlton Athletic’s Tareiq Holmes-Dennis has penned a new two-year contract extension, in a deal which commits the defender to the club until 2018.
The academy graduate, 19, has impressed the Valley hierarchy since making his first-team debut earlier in the season during the 4-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge in the Capital One Cup.
Holmes-Dennis has been on Charlton’s books since October 2013, but the England U18 star was sent on loan last year to Oxford United, who he made 17 appearances for.
A productive loan spell to Plymouth Argyle followed, with the Farnborough-born defender establishing himself as a first-team regular and helping the Pilgrims reach the League Two play-offs.
