West Ham United’s move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Michail Antonio has reportedly stalled due to payment disagreements between the clubs.

The Hammers had a £7 million bid for the winger accepted yesterday, however, according to the Daily Mirror, Forest want the fee up-front while the east Londoners would prefer to pay in instalments.

The deal is still expected to go through before tonight’s 6pm deadline though, with Antonio desperate to make the switch south from Nottingham.

Last summer, cash-strapped Forest, then under boss Stuart Pearce, signed the 25-year-old for just £1.5m and will make a hefty profit should the winger make the move.

This season, Antonio has made five appearances and scored four goals ‒ picking up from where he left off last campaign when he bagged 15 from midfield in 49 games.

Antonio was previously at Sheffield Wednesday and before that Reading, where he was loaned out to five different clubs.
