Leyton Orient are in line to receive a significant financial boost when Moses Odubajo completes his move from Brentford.

The former O’s winger is close to joining Hull City for a reported £3.5m and Orient are entitled to 15 per cent of this as part of their sell-on clause.

Odubajo was a key figure in the club’s run to the League One play-off final two seasons ago.

His form for the O’s, scoring 12 goals in 57 appearances, earned him a move to Brentford last summer in a three-year deal for a fee in the region of £1m.

Orient head coach Ian Hendon said: “To me that money’s not in the equation. I took the job and he (owner Francesco Becchetti) told me what my budget was and what was involved.

“If he wants to give me some of that money I’d be delighted to take it and spend it but that’s up to him.

“But I’m not counting on anything from that but if there’s anything there from it then that’s a bonus.

“I’m quite happy with what I’ve got and really looking forward to next week now.”
