Kellie Maloney admits she was very nervous about how fellow Millwall supporters would react to her decision to undergo a sex change.
Lions fanatic Kellie was best known to the world as boxing promoter Frank Maloney until last summer when she revealed her plans to become a woman.
Having supported Millwall since the age of three, fellow Den regulars were more stunned than most by that bombshell.
But although initially apprehensive about how they would respond, Kellie told News Shopper she has been welcomed with open arms back at The Den.
Kellie explained: “Millwall - that was a very big thing. That was the most nerve-wracking.
“I didn’t know how I would be received or accepted there.
“I spoke there in November, and they’ve been very accepting of me.
“They’ve been so accepting it has been amazing.
“The fans have a reputation but they’ve thoroughly welcomed me back to the club.”

And despite the transformation from Frank to Kellie, the sports enthusiast admits she still has identical interests to Frank.
She added: “I haven’t grown two heads, I still have the same characteristics of me.
“I’m still talking about boxing and football.”
