Tadworth AC’s Simon Booth was the first man home for the club at the Beachy Head marathon last weekend.
Booth finished 20th out of 1,653 finishers in three hours 29 minutes 49 seconds, a new club record. He was followed by John Melbourne, 23rd in 3.30:34, and Dave Williamson, 32nd in 3.32:19.
Also running over the scenic route where Tim Wilkes (162, 4.02:09), Mark Todd (165, 4.02:39), Steve Hutton (398, 4.31:23), Colin Woods (431, 4.34:42), Alan Imeson (934, 5.26:12), Mike Black (1,044, 5.41:29).
Closer to home, Tadworth's Roland Hogg was 65th out of 134 runners in the Ronhill Surrey Classic 10K race at Oxshott, clocking 46:50.
Heather Fenton won the women’s over-55 class, finishing 97th in 56:07.
