Tom Onslow-Cole remains on course for a top 10 finish in the British GT Championship with one round to go.

The 26-year-old and Strata 21 team-mate Paul White, currently eighth in the standings, secured seventh place in round nine at Brands Hatch on Sunday having qualified seventh on the grid.

It is the New Malden racing driver’s first full season in sportscar racing, having ditched the British Touring Car Championship last year.

Howard Fuller survived a shunt into the pit lane wall at Brands in a weekend of mixed fortunes in the Volswagen Cup.

The 21-year-old, who qualified second on the grid for Sunday’s two rounds, had gone from 14th position to first in race two before his smash wrecked his Team HARD VW GTi.

Fuller, who set fastest laps in both races, had finished 14th in the opening race having lead early on.

The British GT Championship and VW Cup conclude at Donnington Park on September 14.
