Brentford waved farewell to League One with a 2-0 final day win over Stevenage in front of a packed house at Griffin Park on Saturday.

More than 11,000 fans looked an as boss Mark Warburton's men secured their 1,500th Football League win with late goals from Stuart Dallas and Alan Judge.

Club captain Kevin O'Connor, a first half substitute for defender Tony Craig, made his 500th appearance for the Bees to become only the fourth player to pass that milestone in the club's history.

The three points meant second-placed Brentford finished the season with 94 points  - a club record - as they completed the campaign nine points adrift of champions Wolverhampton Wanderers and eight points ahead of Leyton Orient.

Saturday's shut-out was also Brentford's 20th cleansheet in the league this term.
