Kingstonian boss Alan Dowson revealed there were no celebrations after Saturday's 1-0 win over Lowestoft Town - because the job of securing a Ryman Premeir League play-off spot was still to be done.

Dee Okojie netted the only goal of the game - his third and arguably most important goal of the season - on Saturday as Ks remained in the hunt for a top five finish.

One point separates the four teams currently occupying the play-off spots, with Ks sitting in fifth - three points ahead of sixth-placed Maidstone United.

Dowson's men could yet finish second in table behind runaway leaders Wealdstone, but the former Walton & Hersham boss is keeping his feet on the ground.

"We've got some tough games to go and we have got to win two of them I think," he said of the four-game run-in.

"Team talks are irrelevant at the minute because the lads no exactly what we need to do.

"No-one feels under any pressure. There is no tension in the dressing room, because the players and management believe we are going to win when we go out there.

"It was a big win for us, but there were no celebrations because we know we have not done anything yet.

"Everybody is enjoying the football and enjoying working hard for it.

"We're not getting carried away. We know two defeats at Easter could see us out of it."

Okojie, who has made more than half of his 40-plus appearances this term from the bench, struck with 15 minutes remaining to be the unlikely hero on Saturday - much to the delight of Dowson.

"Dee cannot hit a barn door in training. He is the worst finisher at the club, but he did really well with that one," he added.

"He has been great for me this year. He spends a lot of his time on the bench, but he does not complain one bit.

"He often comes on in difficult circumstances or when we need him to try and win a game for us, so I'm really pleased with how it worked out."
