Richmond Gymnastics Association’s Isabella Montagna is targeting a world championship appearance after defending her U19 British Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships mixed pair title with partner Lewis Walker.
The Orleans Park School student and her partner triumphed with a score of 28.6 in Stoke-on-Trent during the two days of competition.
Montagna said: “I’m extremely proud of my performance. I performed my routines really well and have been selected to trial for Great Britain.
“I hope to be selected to represent Great Britain at the World Championships in Paris in July.”
Trio Jennifer Bailey, Josie Russell and Cicely Irwin made it a golden double
for the club as they won the senior women’s group category.
U16s women’s pair Grace Tucker and Lucy Gamble finished only 0.100 behind the winners as they claimed silver with 28.250.
Men’s quartet Alex Papworth, Bertie Cardillo-Zallo, Adam Brandt and Aiden
Lim won U16 men’s group silver on their international competition debut, while Tabbie Dawson, Scarlett Wright, and Kitty Williams won bronze in the U16 women’s group.
