CANADIAN pop-punk rockers Sum 41 have grown up for the release of their fifth studio album and have done it in style.
This is the band's first record since guitarist Dave Baksh left and so production duties had to go to lead vocalist Deryck Whibley.
Has it paid off? Yes, and the reason is because even though there has been a change of personnel, the band's trademark mix of rock, punk and rap remains.
The band have started to move into a more adult and even political direction and single Underclass Hero epitomizes this with aplomb.
The group is just as competent at crashing out heavier tracks like March Of The Dogs as they are with more toned down album tracks such as Dear Father.
The best song on the disc though has to be the poppy and folky French-language track Ma Poubelle which is almost Beatles-esque.
