ORIGINALLY released through Tallgrass Records last year, Hurricane Glass is the debut album from Philadelphia-born Catherine Feeny, re-mastered for EMI label Charisma.
A dreamy offering, the 11 songs encompass life, love and friendship, and are intimately written, as though she is letting you, rather cautiously, into her private thoughts.
The style and tone of song writing is all on one level, lacking light and shade, so the songs start to blend one into another, and Feeny's voice, although fair, has no outstanding qualities.
However, nice touches of instrumentation add to the soothing nature.
